Feeling Stabby: Cross Stitching Adventures

Friends when you're feeling stabby, crafts may be an alternative with considerably less repercussions. Cross stitching however, may try your patience to the extreme.
I have done one other cross stitching project before, this spring actually was my first actual *project* for cross stitching. This one was actually a bit easier I'd say. I only used 2 colors and used a bookmark aida that I found at my local Joanns.

I found two super adorable cross stitch patterns on etsy from a cute little shop called LittleLucyThings, and used a blend of 2 of their adorable patterns since my bookmark was not the correct dimensions to match either of the patterns. I combined elements of their Wizard Fantasy Bookmark and the Bugmark Bookmark by copying the elements of the pattern in a nifty little online program called Stitch Fiddle. I played around with mixing up the design elements to my liking.
The rest wasn't super exciting. Mostly stitching during downtime while I did a brief stint working from home.  The bookmark was one of the better things to come out of that friends.

Super cute and very much my own! I love this make, even with home long it took. Cross stitching is very therapeutic since you can ink on the design and mildly check out.
Until next week friends, it's back to the sewing room.
